The Control 42C is an ultra-compact in-ceiling professional satellite loudspeaker designed to pair with the Control 40CS/T subwoofer, creating a natural-sounding and powerful subwoofer-satellite system. This combination delivers wide bandwidth and superior sonic performance with minimal visual impact, making it perfect for various applications. The Control 42C features a 60 mm (2.5 in) mid/high driver with a polypropylene cone and pure butyl rubber surround, ensuring long-lasting durability. Its copper-clad aluminum voice coil wound on a vented aluminum former minimizes distortion. With a 16-ohm impedance, up to four speakers can be connected to a 4-ohm capable amplifier. The Control 42C requires an active high-pass filter or a passive crossover, like the one in the Control 40CS/T, to prevent damage from low frequencies. Its lightweight design eliminates the need for tile rails in many installations, though MTC-RAIL tile rail sets are available separately.
