The Control SB2210 is a versatile subwoofer designed for a wide range of sound system applications, offering robust low-frequency reinforcement in a compact, high-output package. Its outdoor-capable design makes it suitable for various environments, while its internal angled baffle ensures a large port opening and compact front dimensions without compromising the size of the driver. The result is a subwoofer that delivers warm, punchy low-end sound with exceptional performance.
Equipped with a 250 mm (10 inch) diameter low-frequency driver, the Control SB2210 features a long-excursion design that extends its low-frequency range. The driver utilizes a woven fiberglass cone for durability, while the highly damped butyl rubber surround and linear suspension spider design ensure clean sound quality with reduced distortion. High-temperature anodized aluminum voice coil former, voice coil wire, and adhesive contribute to stable performance even under prolonged high-power conditions. Additionally, an FEA-optimized motor construction minimizes harmonic distortion, and an aluminum conductive ring on the pole post further reduces harmonic distortion.
The subwoofer comes with four feet for easy floor or shelf placement and includes thirteen M6 insert points for flexible mounting options. It can be suspended using forged shoulder eyebolts (with included bevel washers) or mounted to a wall or ceiling with the optional MTC-210UB U-Bracket. Available in black or white (Control SB2210-WH) and paintable, the cabinet features a thermoset composite-coated grille that withstands UV exposure, humidity, and direct water contact. The grille is backed with materials that, while acoustically transparent, prevent water intrusion into the cabinet.
