The HF driver, with a PEI diaphragm and Kapton™ voice coil former, delivers smooth high frequencies and increased durability. The speaker’s robust weatherproofing includes zinc-plated grilles and optional WeatherMax™ grilles for challenging environments. With a frequency response down to 45 Hz and a maximum SPL of 112 dB, it handles 120 Watts continuous pink noise and is available in black or white.

The Control 28-1L is a versatile two-way 8” speaker designed for high-fidelity performance and wide coverage in both indoor and outdoor settings. Its sleek, contemporary look makes it a perfect fit for diverse environments such as retail stores, restaurants, health clubs, theme parks, educational facilities, and hospitality venues. The speaker features a unique InvisiBall mounting system, which simplifies installation and provides both vertical and horizontal rotation. The mounting adjustments are made through a hidden access behind the logo badge, which enhances security and eliminates the need to remove the grille.

The Control 28-1L’s LF driver utilizes a woven fiberglass cone for durability and weather resistance, paired with a high-temperature fiberglass voice coil former and wire for stable performance under high power conditions. The pure butyl rubber surround and JBL’s WeatherEdge™ technology ensure clean sound and added protection. The HF driver features a PEI diaphragm and Kapton™ voice coil former for smooth high-frequency response and increased durability. The cabinet is engineered to withstand harsh conditions, with zinc-plated, powder-coated grilles and optional WeatherMax™ grilles for extreme environments. The speaker is capable of handling 120 watts continuous pink noise (240 watts program) and delivers a maximum SPL of 112 dB. It also supports a range of paints and finishes to match any décor and is available in black or white.
