Each Control 25-1 comes with the unique InvisiBall mounting hardware, simplifying permanent installation. This system allows for extensive vertical and horizontal rotation, and adjustments can be made through a hidden access behind the logo badge, ensuring that the grille never needs to be removed and enhancing theft deterrence. Additionally, integrated M6 mounting points support optional U-brackets for added installation flexibility.

The speaker’s low-frequency driver features a woven fiberglass cone that offers durability and weather-resistant performance. Its lightweight high-temperature fiberglass voice coil former and high-temperature wire ensure stable, high-power handling, while the pure butyl rubber surround enhances sound quality and robustness. JBL’s WeatherEdge™, a seamless rubberized extension of the woofer surround, provides additional protection to critical transducer elements. Optimized cone geometry, FEA-optimized motor construction, and linear suspension spider minimize harmonic distortion and ensure smooth frequency response and consistent off-axis performance.

The high-frequency driver includes a low viscosity ferro-magnetic fluid for enhanced voice coil cooling and a softened PEI diaphragm for smooth high-frequency sound. The lightweight Kapton™ voice coil former further improves durability and high-frequency response extension. The cabinet’s design ensures excellent endurance against sun, salt, and moisture, while heavily zinc-plated grilles with a tough powder coating prevent rust. Optional MTC-25WMG WeatherMax™ grilles are available for challenging environments and to deflect driving rain.

Connections are made via weather-capable screw-down terminals, with optional MTC-PC2 and MTC-PC3 panel covers providing a water-tight sealed entrance for added protection. The Control 25-1 delivers an exceptionally smooth frequency response extending down to 60 Hz, offering robust bass capability. It handles up to 100 watts continuous pink noise (200 watts program) and achieves a high maximum SPL of 110 dB.
